Vincenzo, justice in the mafia's way
tvN's 2021 <Vincenzo>, starring Song Joong-ki, set a self-record 14.6 percent peak rating. An Italian mafia consigliere returns to Korea and meets a small building, Geumga Plaza.
The Geumga Plaza exterior was filmed in Gangguan, beneath Dongpirang in Tongyeong. The rooftop insert cut was a full-scale rooftop set built separately.
Tongyeong's colors (pastel-painted alleys and a deep-blue harbor) shaped the work's mise-en-scène. The sunset over Gangguan harbor is the tone of Vincenzo's resolve.

What happened behind the scenes?

Dongpirang painted alley
With village council cooperation, the alley was controlled and partially repainted. The paint that came out of the shoot has remained a town landmark.

Doil Corp. chairman's office
Used an actual executive office in a Gangnam building. The chairman's desk was a real antique, donated to a museum after filming.
