Our Blues, the many lights of Jeju

2022's tvN <Our Blues>, by writer Noh Hee-kyung, is an omnibus melodrama. Fourteen people in one village split into seven stories, and Jeju's east, west, south, and north all take turns appearing.

Gwangchigi Beach beneath Seongsan Ilchulbong, the 5·16 Road on Halla Mountain, Geommeolae Beach on Udo Island. Fourteen lines of movement trace one full loop around Jeju.

The diving scenes were filmed with consultation from the local haenyeo association. Five real divers appeared as cameos playing themselves.

Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise

The crew positioned cameras at 4:30 a.m. every morning for three weeks. Only the 12 most cinematic minutes after sunrise made the cut.

Halla Mountain 5·16 Road

Targeted the fog season (late April–May). No road control — filmed amid normal traffic using gimbal cars.

Udo Geommeolae Beach
